Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:
- Experience: A minimum of two years of experience as a Storekeeper in a reputable restaurant is required. Candidates with experience in inventory management within the food and beverage industry will be given preference.
- Knowledge of Storage Processes: Familiarity with storing processes for various products, including dry goods, chilled items, and frozen products, is essential. You must be able to maintain the integrity of our inventory, ensuring that all products are stored correctly to preserve quality.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency in using inventory management software and back-of-house systems is a must. You should be comfortable with data entry, report generation, and using technology to enhance efficiency.
- Product Order Forecasting: A strong understanding of product order forecasting and reorder point systems is necessary. This includes the ability to analyze inventory data and make informed decisions to ensure that the restaurant is always adequately stocked.
- Attention to Detail: Precision is crucial in this role. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, ensuring that all inventory-related tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Organizational Skills: The ability to organize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously is key. You must be able to prioritize your workload to meet the demands of the restaurant.
- Communication and Interpersonal Abilities: Excellent communication skills are required to work effectively with suppliers, colleagues, and management. You should be able to build strong working relationships and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
- Inventory Management Knowledge: A deep understanding of inventory management and control procedures is essential. You should be familiar with best practices for maintaining accurate stock records and minimizing waste.
- Mathematical Skills: Basic mathematical skills are necessary for inventory counting, calculations, and data entry. Accuracy in these areas is vital to ensuring that inventory levels are correctly maintained.
- Living and Working in Dubai: While not mandatory, previous experience living and working in Dubai is a plus. Familiarity with the local market and suppliers can be an advantage in this role.
