About ICMR:
The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the apex body in India for the formulation, coordination and promotion of biomedical research , is one of the oldest and largest medical research bodies in the world. The ICMR is funded by the Government of India through the Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare .In 2007 the organization established the Clinical Trials Registry-Indi , which is India’s national registry for clinical trials.

ICMR’s 26 national institutes address themselves to research on specific health topics like tuberculosis, leprosy, cholera and diarrhoeal disease , viral diseases including AIDS, malaria, Kala-aza , vector control, nutrition, food & drug toxicology, reproduction, immuno-haematology, oncology, medical statistics, etc. Its 6 regional medical research centres address themselves to regional health problems, and also aim to strengthen or generate research capabilities in different geographic areas of the country.

1) Qualifications of Project Technical Assistant (Lab):
Essential Qualification:

- Graduate degree in Microbiology/Medical laboratory Technology from a recognized university with three years experience from a recognized institution./ Masters degree in Microbiology/Medical laboratory technology from a recognized institution.
Desirable Qualifications and experience:
- With working knowledge and understanding of standard molecular techniques, particularly nucleic acid extraction, PCR etc.
- Work experience in diagnostic microbiology/ molecular biology laboratory, including sample collection, processing and testing.
- Experience of working as part of a research team.
Remuneration: 31, 000/ per month (consolidated)
Age Limit: 30 years.

2) Qualifications of Multi-Tasking Staff:
Essential Qualification:
- High school or equivalent.
Remuneration: 15,800/per month

3) Qualifications of Project Data Entry Operator (Grade A):
Essential Qualification:
- Intermediate or 12th pass from recognized board.
- A speed test of not less than 8000 key depression per hour through speed test on computer.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Typing certificate in English lower/Higher issued by State board.
Remuneration: 17,000/per month
Age Limit: 25 years.
